PRODUCTS - Variable Air Volume Devices

Variable air volume devices produced by FRAPOL are designed mainly for applications in ventilation and air-conditioning installations with variable air volume. They allow for fluent regulation of air volume (e.g. supplied to a room or zone) within the range of predefined minimum and maximum value, depending on the temporary level of control signal. The signal, in turn, may depend on the, for example, current temperature or CO2 concentration in the area.
Variable air volume devices produced by FRAPOL may also be used for maintaining constant airflow. Then, they serve for compensation of changes in the air pressure drop that occur in the installation. An example of their application in this mode may be maintaining of constant air volume supplied to operating theatre equipped in supply air diffuser with a HEPA filter, regardless of the filter contamination level.

Two types of devices are produced:

with round cross-section: VSR-R
with rectangular cross-section: VSR-E

Both types of devices may be additionally equipped with outer layer of 50 mm thick acoustic insulation and/or acoustic silencer.

Round VSR-R devices are produced with the following diameters: 100, 125, 160, 200, 250, 315, 400 and 500.

Rectangular VSR-E devices are produced with standard heights H = 120, 230, 345, 460 and 575 mm; width B in the range from 200 to 1000 mm, and standard length L = 540 mm.
