Frapol Krakow has successfully finished the assembly and start-up of the new ventilation and air-conditioning installation in the Andel’s Hotel, performed in co-operation with the Austrian company HTG Wien. The hotel has been recognized by the European Design Awards as the best first category hotel in Europe. Also in the competition organized by the American magazine Contract, the Andel’s Hotel has been recognized as the best hotel in the world in the Adaptive Re-Use category.

Frapol’s Management Board – in spite of recession in the construction market, according to the rule “He that does not develop, moves back” – decided to build a new production building with an administrative section, the total area to be developed being 4,170 m
2. The legal form of the company does not allow it to take advantage of European aid funds intended for small and medium-sized enterprises, so the investment was financed entirely from own resources and bank credits.
The investment, in large part, is meant to increase the production capacity of the company’s most dynamically developing branch, i.e. the production of modern air handling units. Owing to the new building, its footprint being 2,970 m
2, the production of air handling units, formerly located in two distant buildings, has been concentrated in one place. It has made it possible to decrease production costs and improve the company’s logistics. On the ground floor of the administrative section of the building, its total area being 1,200 m
2, there are rooms designed for a modern research laboratory, considered the prerequisite for the company’s growth, and rest and refreshment rooms for production workers. On the first floor of the administrative section of the building new office rooms for the Company’s Management Board, as well as design and construction studios are situated.
The total investment realization time was 12 months.
